The building was built in the early 1930s by the will of the famous soprano Gina Cigna, the "voice of Toscanini", in the neo-Renaissance style.

After a few years, the soprano decided to retire to the countryside and the villa passed to a bourgeois family from Milan, who lives in the Villa for several decades.

In the early seventies the building was purchased by a spanish religious order until 2001, when the current owner bought it and started a total conservative renovation and enhancement work.
